InspirationInspiration can come from many sources, in this case the inspiration for www.cottagesimple.com came from our beautiful cottage located on the French River in Ontario, Canada. This special place has some special challenges – for starters it is still a work in progress. This season’s goal – running water! The site is accessible only by boat and it is off-the-grid.
 These unique circumstances require some unique products. Hundred of hours have been spent looking for the perfect lanterns, just the right Adirondack chair and the best solution to filter our drinking water. If we were challenged to find just the right products then others probably were as well we thought. Nine months later www.cottagesimple.com was launched. This blog is the perfect format to continue to share our cottage experience with others. We will bring you product reviews, helpful tips and resources that have proved useful. I only recently found the cottage simple website. Boy, I wish I had found something like this 20 years ago, when we bought our water access island property in Maine. It is such a pleasure to read the information, blogs and ideas….especially as I go into the winter months, when I cannot be at my piece of heaven. Most of our education came from life experience on the island. Trial and error. But what a fun way to love this lifestyle. What a wonderful gift we gave out children. You can never stop learning, so thanks for your ideas and interesting products.
